As recommended by MY FAVOURITE MURDER: 'It is so really ****ing good!'
'This book had me hooked from the first page to the last.’ Lisa Jewell

You're in love with a man on Death Row in Florida, convicted of a brutal murder twenty years ago.

You're convinced he didn’t do it, and you're determined to prove it. You're part of a mass online campaign that picks holes in the case, uncovers evidence of police incompetence, and agitates for this miscarriage of justice to be overturned.

Now you're married to him, and he’s a free man, his conviction thrown out. You have the rest of your lives to spend together.

You’re overjoyed. After all, he’s innocent.

Isn’t he?

  • So good!

Woah!.. honestly freaked me out. I’m not really one to read books like these but something about the title drew me to it. I’d for sure recommend it to people. Just make sure you’re reading in the day😂
  • I’d give it 0 stars if I could.

This book was just awful. It was incredibly slow, you’d turn over 50 pages and realise they were still having the same conversation. The main character was odd, seemed a bit scruffy and timid. Everything happens in the last 15 pages so just skip to the end and be done with it.
  • A good read

Enjoyed this story, a very readable style
  • Not great

This felt like a rewrite of making a murderer, but with no pace and a style that meant I really struggled to plod to the end. Clearly lots of people enjoy this style, but I was left feeling disappointed and didn’t care for any of the characters.
  • Good poolside read

Page turner, gripping, although the ending is poorly written and disappointing
  • Really gripping until the end

The book is very gripping until the last 30 pages where the ending is very rushed
  • Not good

Sorry but this just isn’t a good book. Nothing is really explained or resolved and when I finished it I felt like I’d wasted a few hours!
  • Couldn’t put it down

    But the ending annoyed me
  • Disappointed

I really got my teeth into this book whilst on holiday and I couldn’t believe what I’d been waiting for (the crescendo) was finally happening in the last 30 pages! I read with anticipation but it felt really rushed in the end. The ending was kind of obvious and I would have preferred a more intricately constructed story. Readable- but could have been better!
